Bought a Triton Extreme Service manual, and it was mediocre...nothing like what I expected of a "Service Manual". This is what it had: Circuit Diagram, Structural Diagram (pretty pictures of keyboard measurements), Test Mode info, and Parts List (of hundreds of items with cryptic names). And that's ...

19naia, Thanks for the info on how to change the bank type...was looking for that command. Codd12, to unload all samples, I go to Global Mode, KSC Auto-Load tab, and uncheck all the checkboxes in front of any .KSC files listed, and then hit the Do Auto-Load Now button (lower right). That will remove ...

There is nothing to "get"....styles within a PA series should be loadable even as bare bones....with the understanding of making further tweaks due to factory libraries, effects, etc. incompatibilities as you mention. "Anyway , for more than 20 years there is an order of things in PaSeries that won ...

Valid points guys...but that's why I said... "At the minimum, new PA4X STYLES should be available for loading into PA3x, etc." I don't expect the entire OS of PA4X, PA5X, etc to be able to run on PA3x, PA2X...not same CPU, resources, memory, etc. Was using the Kronos methodology for illustration in ...

Korg Italy could do the same with PA, what is done with Kronos. We've had Original Kronos, KronosX, Kronos2 out now. When an OS update comes out for the latest Kronos2, it is compatible with KronosX and the original Kronos. So, a Kronos1 or KronosX user can get the benefits of Kronos2 release. At ...

Question...
Trying to record output of PA3x song audio into Kronos Audio tracks 1&2. BUT also, want the Auto tempo of the PA3x song to drive the Kronos sequencer as I record, since the beginning and end of the song have BMP changing automatically. That way, I'll be able to add Kronos sounds on top of Audio ...

Arsena, I wonder if our existing Pa3x will get an OS upgrade of the Pa4x's new features (that be real nice!), since the hardware layout and the OS are almost the same between the two arrangers. But unfortunately, because Pa4x is not a great leap forward from Pa3x, they may use the few new features ...

Food for thought. Why are the GM Banks protected memory? We can overwrite every single factory sound in sight, except for the GM Bank. On the Trinity the GM Bank was a PCG file you loaded if you wanted it. When the Triton came out, GM Sounds became the only write protected sounds on a KORG keyboard ...

Dan, thanks for the reply. Please excuse my newbieness to the Kronos program bank methodology, but can you elaborate a bit more on what you said: "I would strongly encourage people to use the disk. It's fast and easy, and fits thousands of banks." Do you mean create multiple PCG files for additional ...
