Yamaha VL1 is the synthesizer that better mimics the sounds of bowed strings. But you have to learn to execute every sound involving the Breath control, aftertouch AND 3 modulation wheels !!

Once you learn, it's pure expressiveness in real time NO SAMPLES !!!

I use a Yamaha CP 5 and it's great.
Very dynamic and subtle.
And you have keys of wood with a very nice touch that I use to control the Kronos´s pianos. Although it is an expensive solution... but... a pure joy !

If you want to add another synthesizer to the Kronos, adds one that sounds different. (Another method of synthesis) for example: Yamaha FS1R. Kawai K5000s. Yamaha VL1. I tried the plyphonic aftertouch with my Ensoniq VFXsd and does NOT work with any AL1 programs. But yes it works with other programs. (MOD7 ,STR1, Polysix and HD1)
I tried with several parameters, but it doesn't work. (via AMS)
I am sure that this is a bug.

Polyphonic aftertouch does not work in any program AL1.
But it works perfectly in MOD-7 also Polysix STR-1 and HD-1.

I am almost sure that this is a problem. Channel aftertouch works fine, BUT polyaftertouch don´t.

My konos don,t respond to polyphonic aftertouch messeges (From Ensoniq VFXsd) in AL1 program , BUT yes works in Polysix EX program. This is a BUG ? (OS 1.5 Updated)
