Thanks for your reply... Yes, I have two already, my query relates to a copy of the user bank file. So, after first save I have: PROJECT.ksc PROJECT_UserBank.ksc After modifying a multisample, converting to program, and saving I have a third file: PROJECT_UserBank_UserBank.ksc So I’m trying to work o ...

Userbank_Userbank.ksc?
I’m working on a project using a multisample converted to a program...after I changed the multisample (and again converted to a program) I resaved the project (using ALL) and discovered that along with my project’s user bank, I get an additional folder ‘PROJECTNAME_userbank_userbank.ksc.’ Or, to put ...

Nanopad and Triggering Samples
I want to use a nanopad to trigger samples but am experiencing two problems. (The samples have been converted to a program). 1. If I accidentally touch the x-y pad the samples change pitch and can only be restored by touching the ribbon controller on the kronos - is there a way to disable the ...

You need to setup the Nanopad with a computer once. Then, use the Kronos to set what the pad triggers. The top row of pads is default to the Kronos pads. The bottom row can be programed as to what channel and what note each pad plays. Geo Thanks - but just so I fully understand - after one setup on ...

Yes - you can use a Nanopad to trigger samples. As per psionic311's reply, you have to first load the samples into a program. Thanks - again, very helpful. Could you also tell me whether the nanopad can trigger samples when the Kronos is in song mode - I find this the most practical way of playing ...

Triggering Samples from External Source
I have searched relentlessly for an answer to this - I want a means of triggering samples on the Kronos externally - eg from something like a nanopad - so, for example, while not at the keyboard I can hit a pad, or similar device and the sample plays, or loops until hit again. The more samples I can ...

Thanks for your reply. I have tried various permutations using autoload at power up, but without success. If I manually load all files for a song except the KSC files, then load these separately, the samples and multisamples are loaded, but not the program to which they were converted. I can do this ...

Re-saving songs (and automatic user bank creation)
I've experienced problems saving songs containing samples for years, and can't get to the bottom of it. (The samples often disappear). However, I've recently noticed that when I work with samples in sequencer mode, and resave that song to disk, the Korg automatically creates a new folder. A bit of ...

Sorry for not replying sooner - I've been away. I am grateful for all your thoughts - you've certainly made me aware of things I hadn't come across before. The Korg is an infinite machine, and even though I've had it for what I think is five years, there are still not just dark corners I am yet to ...

Thank you again, you have been very helpful - a number of things you have said has suggested what may be wrong. I create my own samples, then multisamples, then convert these to programs, and use these in songs - I consistently use 'save all' to disk as default. I created something last night, saved ...
