I have been experimenting with the step seqencer in al-1 and I would like to make an effect that modulates the filter freq upon sustain. for example say I have a nice pad sound and after x amount of seconds holding the note have a modulated filter seqence come in. Anyone know ...

new kronos 2 61 owner

Hey Everyone, I am a hobbyist whom enjoys synths and I wanted a desert island workstation that would do everything I needed with powerful synth capabilities. It was between this or the new fantom and in the end I decided to go with the kronos. I just picked up a new kronos 2 61 for a deal at 2200 ...

hey Charles very nice pad there! keep up the good work. I like the idea of reverse engineering a sound. I often times try to do this on a sound I like by using harmonic analysis by viewing the sound in freakascope and then taking the peaks and using a suggested waveform to duplicate so on and so ...

I agree with X-trade. I use the same setup with my radias and have it set to not use the global midi channel and instead use 5 midi channels. This took me awhile to figure out at first but he is correct in that the global channel will trigger any timbre associated with it

The alesis micron\miniak is in fact a great synth. Very cool and very powerful and at the time I bought the radias, I was putting it up against the ion in terms of sound but for the features went with the radias. I now own both the radias and the miniak and couldnt be happier. I think alesis could ...

wind chimes

Im working on some ambient music and would like to create a wind chime sound. I realize this is more of a sample sound but I think it could be done on the radias with some noise. Anyone ever tried something like this?

Agreed. Lol I bought the Radias 6 months ago and haven't touched the editor yet, the synth is so complex. I probably should though since editing would be much easier.

Some things about the ultranova I do miss. The mod matrix was great.. tons of destinations and 20 slots at that! i wish the radias had more destinations but I do find 6 slots is usually plenty. The ultranova also sports a ton of egs again I find the 3 on the radias plenty here. all in all it was a ...

I agree it did have some sick electro sounds but would agree with the above for versatility I give the r3 the upper hand.

Well if this is any consolation, I sold the ultranova after owning it for months and bought the radias instead. I'm completely satisfied with the radias. The big deal breaker for me was the mono timbrality of the synth. And after owning a nova (which was my first synth) it just didn't make the cut ...

It is strongly advised to read the manual here. I do believe its probably one of the best out there if not the best. The manual is clear and concise and guess what.. the manual is designed for someone who needs their hand held . Not trying to be rude here or anything but thats why the manual is ...

for 500$ you may be able to find a second hand radias but for sure you could at least snag a second hand r3 for $350 - 400 which is a good deal

if you want something that will give you more power I might add 100$ and get the radias
