The last band I played in was a sort of neo-classic, psychedelic rock band, and I cannot count the number of times I have drawn inspiration from Richard Wright's playing. Choosing the right sounds for the song instead of showboating, making sure my presence served the song and not my ego, all traits ...

If you use a computer for recording, I would recommend sampling into the computer, cutting out what you don't need, save it to an sd card and importing the wav files into the TR that way. You can probably get a better recording than through the ESB card, and have more precision looking at the wave ...

Hi wimpievds! I would say you could use both. I have had my TR for awhile (serial # 538) and I can say that I have gotten great use out of it as a sample playback synth. It has a good amount of flexibility in design, but you can also make quick easy tweaks from the panel in the filter section, which ...

Great thread going here guys! I agree that monitors are very important. If you can't afford high end monitors, make sure you check your spec sheet so you know what frequencies they accentuate, or use a spectrum to see where you may need to cut back. If your room you're mixing in isn't treated for ...

He means if you have a KLC-plug loaded in your prefab-song, the dongle will be called on opening the app. Sounds like a harmless solution, but that means also: If you loose the key someday you also loose all of your songs that used a KLC-plug... You cant even open the songs to unload the KLC-plugs ...

Re: The previous response is diagnostic.
Please respond to the question posed. Thank you. I'm just asking if any of these contributing factors in 'faulty' equipment apply, before answering your question. If you've had all or any of those conditions, it will affect the nature of the response to YOUR problem, not mine. I'm sure it can be ...

General MIDI sounds are the standard soundset that all keyboards (w/ GM) come with, so you may have just set Sonar to use that set in the TR, and is not actually 'talking' with the TR. I believe you have to upload the TR soundset into Sonar, but I'm not sure how. I usually just use the Prog/Combi ...

If you think about it, you 'should ' send a dry mix to your DAW or computer. I think this is a better recording approach in refining your final mix.[/quote] How each one of us approaches recording is a direct part of our style. I prefer a little 'dirt' in my tracks. In my opinion, if you get the ...
