I figured it out on my own before coming here.

It took me a few tries before successfully installing the new update. I had the volume too high, eq wasn't disabled, etc.

I like the new features. Wonder what they have up their sleeve for a version 3 (or maybe a flow blown groovebox).

I did it today and mine is fine.

Well I've ran some pedals with the Kaossilator with good results. The output signal can be a bit hot, but the gain on the eq tames that quite well.

A lot of people do it/ have done it with different gear. I guess we're all lucky.

Years back I had a couple of mkII models. I used to run a cd player through one of the filters using a 1/4" y cable and a dual 1/4" to rca cable. No problem(s) whatsoever.

Use the headphone out. Get a 3.5mm TRS - 1/4" TS cable.

Sell it and get a KP3 or 4.

Some amps have a CD or AUX input. Try that (if possible). An attenuator will eliminate any 'overload'. I've seen some with XLR ins/outs which would require different cables. I don't see you benefiting from a preamp. I got one for the low output of the Monotron.

It's been done countless times. I hooked up a series of pedals to a Monotron. The 1st in the chain is an eq pedal to tame the hiss and low output of the synth. The last is a preamp.
