My powerpack melted!

I was using my EMX on and off yesterday for about 14 hours. The powerpack was being turned off every couple of hours. The EMX has been rarely used so I can't understand what has happened. When I came to switch if off at the end of the night I couldn't even hold it, it was that hot. The plastic on ...

Undo button?

I was working on a sound and pressed one of the program select buttons by mistake and now it's cleared my sound. I know I was dumb and forgot to save.

Is there any way to undo on the Radias?

How to use more than one sound?

I am using the ESX and MicroKorg. Was wondering, is it possible to use more than one sound from the MicroKorg? At a guess if it is possible I'd use timbres and set midi channels for them. I know my Radias has 4 timbres which allows me to use 4 sounds individually by assigning them to midi channels ...

EMX and MicroKorg. Connect, working fine, but have an issue.

I have connected the EMX and MK together. It works fine. But I have a problem. When I press the "Program Number" on the microkorg, it changes all the drum settings on the EMX. All I want is to be able to use the sounds from the MK and the keyboard to play those sounds. Can anyone offer any advice ...

Ah right, wicked!! Just what I was looking for.

Also, off topic but how's the KP? I'm looking to get one next week. Getting an Access Virus too so all 3 hooked up should be manic.

Sorry, I didn't explain properly. On a DAW you can set the grid to 16, 32, 64 etc so you can quantize or place notes in off beat places on the grid. I know the EMX is not a DAW, but I was wondering if the grid can be set in a similar fashion. I've read about people doubling the tempo to achieve it ...

32 beat grid?

I see the EMX has a 16 beat grid, any way of creating a 32 bar grid so I can create some movement in the beats?

Yay! Got my EMX

Finally got one today to add to my other collection on hardware. I've seen these used a lot for dubstep so of course I had to get one.

Look forward to putting up my tracks :)

Radias and OSX 1.6 USB

Hey, I'm a little confused about getting the radias working with the mac. I've installed the sound editor, and the USB driver. When I load up the sound editor I can't see any of the patches or anything. Am I doing anything wrong? Also, is it possible to hook up the Radias to Logic? I was using Midi ...

Hi, sorry but IMHO this is the wrong forum. For that sounds you rather should get a sampler. If you have one then you can sample the sound directly from that video. The majority of that sounds are percussion and EFX, which are done changing the pitch, filtering (yes, controlling cutoff) and adding ...

Any Help Creating this Sound

I am trying to create the main sound that is running through this track. It sounds very dirty/demonic. But I am unsure about how to create these types of sound. Once I have a base to run from I can evolve from there and develop my own sounds similar to this. Correct me if I am wrong but it sounds as ...

..... First, you have number 1 oscillator, which is unisoned so its like 2 oscillators. You then add in your 2nd oscillator and sub oscillator, making it like 4. Then, you unison the whole thing with 4 voices- it becomes 16 saw waves! Then, you use the chorus effect, lets say it multiplies the ...

I'm not a Radias owner but I use the MPC2500 with my R3, MS2000br etc. *EDIT* I forgot to mention that I obviously only sequence the 2 timbres in 1 program at a time*EDIT* To control 2 timbres on my R3, I usually send the midi info on different channels. So it would be Midi out A on the MPC to R3 ...

I remember the 80s. I don't recall hearing anything like that. Dubstep mixes didn't exist then. Yes, Radias can do that. Research dubstep wobble bass and supersaws. I can do those basslines with Albino on Logic. A lot of it is LFO's. It's my second day with the Radias, I'll get there eventually ...
