Korg need to improve the specs on midi and explain channels and part A/b much better. When I read it I got the impression midi was fixed to channel 2 meaning it would never sequence my monotribe. But I gather part A is channel 1 and part b is channel 2 (I agree that's dumb, I want to use the two ...

In theory could I use a korg nano key > beatstep > volca keys ?
The beatstep sequences the volca, the nano key transposes the sequence?

That would be ideal.

I'm really interested to see how the beatstep works with the volca keys and bass, as I find I'm getting lost more often than not in their own sequencing.

I don't really get into tweaking my microkorg. i'll play around with existing patches and modify them to how i want them to sound, but i dont start from scratch. i really don't like the interface. I've done a lot of patches with my Korg Poly 61 and Moog little phatty. Once I get my PolySiz repaired ...

i bought a set of patches from a well known and experienced sound designer, for the microkorg specifically and it's 21 separate patch files, one for each sound.

i just don't know how the system/korg is going to manage them.

thank you i know it is a "sin" to use patches.

Microkorg - syx patches midiOX - assigning to a preset?

Hey everyone, Hoping you can advise, I've always used the Korg sound library for moving presets (prg files) around but I just bought a set of syx files. So I know to use a program like Midi Ox http://www.midiox.com/ I have the Korg Instructions http://www.korg.co.uk/downloads/m1/support/SysExMIDIOX ...

I can't help you with legacy presets, though check out the iPad version to see if there's some variation and import/export. I'd really appreciate links to poly six cassette presets, especially the factory. I seem to have an incomplete set of presets and the poly six is proving to be harder to ...

it seems I accidentally bought the smart media version too. I'm pretty sure that recognizing the larger memory wouldn't be a problem per se. but getting the firmware to recognise the new hardware of an SD card reader might be. this is a wild guess. anyone confirm it? if we're converting anyway ...
