As someone who has both an M3 and a G, my opinion is that in the areas of design, intuitiveness, flexibility, and ease of use, the M3 is a clear winner. The G probably wins for impressiveness and beauty. Sound is a bit too subjective to say much about the stock samples, but I will say that the G ...

I believe changing the bank type from EDS to Radias and back will at least clear out any programs in the bank. I'm just not sure if it requires that you have an EXB-Radius installed before it will allow you to do so. I'm not in front of my M3, but I believe the option is under Global->Command Set ...

I performed another test. This time I swapped cables to see what the results would be. Using the same brand of cable the problem existed unless I twisted the cable in the jack 180 degrees. Using another brand of cable, I didn't have the problem. I compared the plug at the end of the working and non ...

I ran a test last night and I have to agree with ktippets. If I rotate the cable 180 degrees it switches to stereo and I hear audio only in the speaker that I've panned to. When the cable isn't rotated in the jack, I hear mono from both speakers regardless of panning. I read in the manual that the ...

Mine is also just a few months old. I was afraid that might be the case. It definitely does not match what I hear in the phones. I was hoping it was just some setting I had overlooked and not a physical issue with the jack. I'll play with the cable tonight and see if I can get it to behave.

**EDIT** Sorry I totally missed that you mentioned you were doing this in Logic. So, I doubt my reply will do you any good. But for anyone looking to use the M3 as an effects processor for vocals or guitar via an analog connection, it does work really well. I'm sure almost everyone already knows how ...

Help with L/mono and R outputs

The other day, I decided to create a panning effect for a sound I was working on. After several minutes of fighting what appeared to be a real simple operation, I realized that no matter how drastically I panned left or right, all I got was stereo (or so I thought). So I decided to try through a ...

Well, I finally gave in and added an exb-radias board to my M3 this weekend. I'm just breaking the ice, but I can say that it really does bring a whole new element to the M3. The width and smoothness of the sounds absolutely rock. The integration is seamless and it's nice to basically have two ...

Thanks for the replies! While yours (McHale) might not have been as informative as the rest, I feel your enthusiasm. :)

Now I suppose I just need to order one. Nobody local appears to keep them in stock.

Why would I want an EXB-Radias?

Anyone out there who is familiar with this, please give me a little help understanding what I would gain from adding an EXB-Radias card to my M3. Based on what I could gather and some guesswork, this is what I came up with. Am I on the right track? 1. The M3 is designed around modulating and ...

Thanks!

A big thanks to you RichF. I've had my M3 for only two days. My last intelligent keyboard was back in the mid 80s, so I'm a bit rusty. Your videos we're a perfect kickstart and I'm well past where I'd be at this point trying to interpret the manuals.
