Okay. Well. Uh. First, MIDI over USB doesn't work at all. Tried every single MIDI channel (inc Ch10, as specified). Absolutely DEAD. Second, MIDI over OSX Network wifi works. On any MIDI channel. Third, the clock sync is WRETCHED. It's so far off on the timing that it's totally unusable. Korg gets ...

You guys are KILLING ME.

I can't believe that huge list doesn't contain full MIDI implementation.

:x

Only MIDI sync is mentioned further down this thread - but barely.

You guys consider no MIDI out for the iMS-20 to be a great update? Oh boy. :? And it's been 2 months now since iOS4 was released. If you were a dev, you got the specs way before that to start implementing. :x Why is it that of ALL the iPad instrument apps, there's only ONE dev who's integrated full ...

Who cares what future apps Korg offers? As long as they continue refusing to implement full MIDI capabilities into their apps (basic, basic stuff) they are merely novelty items to play with whilst taking a $hit. Again, the iElectribe has been out how long and there's still no MIDI implementation ...

Great job, wmp. Very cool. If you don't mind, I'd like to add to the list. I'll recreate your template in Excel, and add a few apps/devices.

@loopstationzebra: there's a new toy at the app store, that you might want to take a look at. It's called 'MidiPadz lite', it features drum pads, an x/y touch pad, and it even uses the accelerometer to transform the iPads x/y rotation into MIDI CC data. It supports MIDI Out via usb/CCK and also ...

Okay, I've just confirmed with the developer that NLogSynthPro does NOT support MIDI out. He says it's coming in the next update.

Well, at least I know I'm not TOTALLY insane or incompetent.

Yes, it works here. Do you have the cool little App named MIDI Monitor (see http://iosmidi.com/)? Beside monitoring MIDI (of course), that App has a section called "MIDI TESTING BOARD". Just connect your iPad to whatever MIDI module you have at hand. You will see MIDI activity if you do something ...

I use the M-Audio Midisport Uno instead of the MIDI Mobilizer, but the concept is the same. I've been able to receive MIDI on my iPad apps via the cam connection kit and Uno, but thus far haven't been able to send out a single friggin MIDI note or CC from the iPad. Have you gotten this to work ...

I'd be happier if Korg got their SH1T together and did MIDI correctly for the iMS-20.

Wow. What a complete mess this is. My God. :x It was all so simple. CoreMIDI was provided and there's a PLETHORA of MIDI options that Korg could have offered - all at the same time. 1. MIDI via cam connection kit/camera kit with USB-To-MIDI adaptor 2. MIDI via the Line6 MIDI Mobilizer 3. MIDI via ...

Well, we've gotten our answer.

The MIDI implementation on the iMS-20 is total SH1T.

Lack of MIDI for the iElectribe is total SH1T.

COMPLETE AND TOTAL FAIL

Korg, honestly. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

There needs to be FULL MIDI support; including the ability to use CoreMIDI via Mac MIDI network (and the PC equivalent) and especially clock sync.

Re: MicroKORG XL

Not really a midi controller, but the MicroKORG XL works really well with the iMS20. cutoff and resonance do the right things, plus can switch to four assignable knobs. MicroKORG XL, Batteries, USB cable and an iPad. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PkvL3PMILyw CLOCK SYNC???????? I'm honestly getting ...
