Re: New poly aftertouch keyboard from Endeavour (NDVR)

A difference with regular aftertouch is that the (optical) sensors will work on the full travel range, not just when the keybed is hit. That might be an advantage or disavantage depending on your taste. I just got the following information: > I do have a firmware suggestion for your product if not ...

Re: New poly aftertouch keyboard from Endeavour (NDVR)

I have the 49 key Endeavour. (Original version). I assume you're referring to the 'evo' with the positional sensing keys. The keys on my Endeavour are longer than normal, but this is actually a bonus when controlling poly AT. Since it uses position sensing that makes sense. I'm pretty sure this new ...

New poly aftertouch keyboard from Endeavour (NDVR)

Hi, Couldn't find any existing thread on this so here goes. Endeavour have started a crowdfunding campaign through Indiegogo to produce several models of a master keyboard with polyphonic aftertouch (poly AT): http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/ndvr-note-masterkeyboard--114 http://endeavour.de ...

Did you consider an A stand? http://www.jaspers-alu.de/jaspers-alu/images/2D-120B.jpg +1 on the Jaspers stands, great quality, but I'm using this one instead (in black rather than silver): http://www.jaspers-alu.de/images/KSV-3SXL.jpg http://www.jaspers-alu.de/images/KSV-3SXL.jpg This is the KSV3 ...

My great but not particularly esoteric HR824s are nominally flat (within 1.5dB) down to 39Hz, and extending below that naturally; the more recent mkII version claims a little lower for flat response, down to 37Hz. I have to agree with Dan here. I too have Mackie HR824's (original version) and I ...

The CX-3 isn't a Hammond B3 (a tone-wheel which is what it is attempting to model) it's a Korg CX-3 it has its own unique sound, which is not to my taste. Each to their own, I have the hardware version of the CX-3 and happen to love it. Would take it any day over all the others out there, it ...

Re: SSD Drive - Backup & Failure

Thus, I expect the SSD drive to last several years. Expect it to fail when you least expect it and and when you need it most: just before a deadline with data on it that represents days, weeks or months of work with no recent backup. I have a SSD in my desktop PC and I love it (super fast and ...

I ordered a custom-made cover for my Korg CX-3 from these guys: http://www.pianocoversonline.co.uk/korg-custom-keyboard-cover-p-6956.html Good fit, good quality, very reasonable price and good service, at least that has been my experience. I chose the 10mm padded version because of all the woodwork ...

Long answer Your local korg affiliate might try to suggest that as it is imported then it is not covered by a warranty. Do not believe this - it is what we call in the IT trade marketing bullshit - it looks like its legal but it has no legal basis - its smoke and mirrors to scare people. I should ...

Nevertheless, I would be extremely surprised if the Kronos does not have an auto-switching power supply. It would make no sense whatsoever. Demo units didn't and I suppose that final units do not as well, according to Sam Ash's rep. Kronos-owners, could you please advise? How do you know? Just from ...

My Roland Fantom X7 also has a label saying 230V (only) near the IEC plug but it is most definitely auto-switching. Same goes for much of my other Roland equipment. On the other hand... It's very likely going to have a Universal PSU installed like every other KORG for the last 10+ years that does ...

Should I consider the Roland Fantom G or wait for the new Kronos? Wait for the Kronos. I have a Fantom X (got it when it came out) with three SRX expansion cards (strings, complete orchestray, ultimate keys). I tried the Fantom G when it came out and found it was lacking in sounds compared to my ...

Re: Korg INTERNAL Software Issue.

I don't know anything about the X5D but this page may have what you want: http://www.korgnorthwest.com/InitsPLoadsRomChecks.htm Initialization: Hold PROG and +10 while turning it on. According to the X5D manual there is a battery inside the X5D to retain memory with power off. Perhaps the shock ...
