I was wondering if it was possible to loop a position instead of copy part / writing in tons of patterns?

Ideally, I'd like to control all the position switching manually instead of it switching automatically after it's played the pattern.

what do i look for in the manual?

Yeah, I want to sample a melody that i played on my R3 (using the R3's synth sounds), and then arrange them on the esx.
