weelll,esx is a sampler, mx is a synth to start. If u need sampling get the red one, if u want a synth get the blue one.

I got a mini-kp too. For the power issue, you can get a dc adapter. I found one lying around my house that fit. For levels, I just crank the volume up, nothing else much you can do.

Can Electribe EMX record midi?

Ya im buying an emx soon forsure, but I was just wondering if it could record MIDI becuase then I could record my sounds from my alesis micron.

sure is what u wud want. If u get the emx, u can use its onboard drum samples to make a good drum track, record some synth tracks with its synth, and put your instrument in the audio in jack and select the audio in oscillator option. That way you could play along plus process the instrument you are ...

MIDI

I wouldn't record as audio, i would record as midi data. to get midi in the computer u will need a midi interface for about 50$. That way you can edit notes, quantinize and so on, and then turn it into an audio track.
