I have in my possession over 200 old midi files. I would like to be able to edit them on my Korg PA4 and save them as songs in the songbook. The material I have been reading on this subject is very vague. Does anyone have some simple directions on how to do this? Thanks

I don't know what kind of editing you want to do but I use a program from PG Music called Power Tracks. You can even load the PA sounds into this program. Load the midi song into Power Tracks and edit what you want, save it on a USB drive and then into your Korg. |

I am a big user of midi files on my Pa3x but it should be similar to the 4x.
First suggestion is to get properly organised by creating a folder on the keyboards drive - say MyMidis and keep all your midis there.
Editing is done in Sequencer Mode so load your song and re-mix, mute tracks, change intruments etc.
If you need to dig down into the midi events use the Menu button. Always save edits to a new file name eg Your Song 02 and only renme them back to Your Song when you are happy with the edits.
Remember - the Songbook does not actually contain any midis - only links to where they are. To back up you need to copy your MyMidis folder to a USB drive.
To add a new entry (its been a while) I think you go into Book Edit 1. _________________ Free SoundFonts: https://sites.google.com/site/soundfonts4u/
