|
|
Hello all. A few weeks ago I decided to add the Classic Korg i3 (1993) to my arsenal and it just arrived today. I just unboxed and powered it up and it looks like there is an issue with the output volume on the left + right outputs and the headphone jack.
I get almost no volume on these three outputs and anything I try doesn't seem to work. What frustrates me even more is that it seems Korg has removed all the support software for any of the classic i-Series models which makes it even tougher to solve this issue. Throughout my experience with the Pa-Series, I have seen that factory resets typically solve most of my issues.
With that, I am reaching out to anyone on the forum with either a solution to the low output volume issue, or the OS Reset Files for the i3. It took a while to get a hold of this beauty and I am not giving up (returning it) without a fight!
Thanks in advance! _________________ CURRENT-

I have the original factory pre-load set - I've put it here for you:-

...and documents in case you don't have them:-

There is no OS installation or RESET for the i3 - it was very different to the PA series.
- the i3 was capable of an update but it was physical hardware (a chip replacement on motherboard) - you needed an engineer to install it.
Cheers

I also have this issue - running the (1993) i3 through my amp I can just about hear tones amid the hiss at volume level "60", usually "20" is loud and "30" is ear-splitting. Feels like a resistor issue but I don't know where to start disassembling the thing, there are a million screws on the back and I don't want to mess with anything unnecessarily. |
