According to the manual (p. 111), Rich F. created a lot of the programs on the KK, so he should know the architecture pretty darn well. Kinda surprised he hasn't popped into this forum. (Actually, no one from Korg has been here, as far as I've seen. Kind of surprising, for a new product that they're trying to get some traction on, I think.) |

Thanks for the hint, Scott! I wasn't aware that Rich was involved so much. The overall preset quality on the KK is pretty good IMO, with only few exceptions.
In fact I am wondering why they don't push a lot more to sell this extremely useful and useable live power synth: many people still hesitating will only buy at this price, after they become more aware of what's really in it.
Korg could offer
- an available online patch database, with all the available patches as single librarian files grouped in categories, and regular (even if small) updates/additions
- some own or third party commercial soundbanks, like for the Kronos
- more instructional stuff (most beginners will not understand how powerful the synth KK acrhitecture actually is, because it is partly "hidden" in additional osc types etc.)
- more active support from Korg staff showing up and answering user questions _________________ Kronos 73 - Moog Voyager RME - Moog LP TE - Behringer Model D - Prophet 6 - Roland Jupiter Xm - Rhodes Stage 73 Mk I - Elektron Analog Rytm MkII - Roland TR-6s - Cubase 12 Pro + Groove Agent 5 |
