|
|
Hey everyone,
I just bought a microKorg XL, which I absolutely LOVE, however, one of the main reasons i bought it was to work as a controller for Pro Tools, which I also recently purchased, and I haven't been able to figure it all out. I installed the usb-midi driver and the editing software works fine, but Pro Tools doesn't seem to be getting a midi signal from the keyboard... Any help is welcome!
Thanks! _________________ microKorg XL, Pro Tools 10 |

If the editor works then this is a protools issue.
I think I've read a few times about people having problems with protools and MIDI ports, but I don't know much about it as I don't use it. _________________ Current Gear: Kronos 61, RADIAS-R, Volca Bass, ESX-1, microKorg, MS2000B, R3, Kaossilator Pro +, MiniKP, AX3000B, nanoKontrol, nanoPad MK II,

thanks, I just tested the microKorg with garageband and it works fine so it is definitely something with Pro Tools. Any of you experienced Pro Toolers know what to do? _________________ microKorg XL, Pro Tools 10 |

Glad to hear it.
Normally a good idea to actually share what the problem/solution was so that if anyone comes across this post in the future, they will have the answer too. _________________ Current Gear: Kronos 61, RADIAS-R, Volca Bass, ESX-1, microKorg, MS2000B, R3, Kaossilator Pro +, MiniKP, AX3000B, nanoKontrol, nanoPad MK II,

Ok that makes sense.
It was a pretty dumb mistake on my part: there were two different choices for midi input on the instrument track on Pro Tools (something like Mkinput and Mkkb) and I thought the Mkinput made more sense so for some reason I didn't try the other one. Well, turns out that when I tried the other one everything worked _________________ microKorg XL, Pro Tools 10 |
