I received emailed notification of a private message today. Upon visiting the site and opening the message I found the content below.

If this message was sent by site administrators, I resent it and will not stick around long if they keep doing it.

If it was not, I wish administrators the best in finding the person responsible and doing truly horrible things to him/her. Administrators will find the message still in my inbox if they need it to investigate.

This is a scam/spam/junk.

Undoubtedly the links take you to sites that will try to install malware on your computer or do other more complicated stuff that shouldn't be going on.

We do have problems with spambots and such on the site from time to time. This isn't anything to do with the forum administrators, it is a PM from a spammer.

Keywords such as iPhone4 are often used for this type of operation - it is something that a lot of people want. For example there are similar operations going on on facebook mentioning videos of Winehouse' death. They'll pick whatever will get them the most results.

I will report the incident. Thanks for letting us know.
