|
There was a thread called "Daz, a KORG Forums founder steps down" where friends and others very kindly left some messages of appreciation and camaraderie which I greatly appreciated.
But now it has been deleted without any notification. Why ?
Thank you for any information.
Daz.
p.s. this was the link to it -> http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=53173
p.p.s. thanks again to all those who commented in that thread ! |

Does this mean you're coming back?
I also wanted some time ago to read that thread, but I was too late and now I can't get the info or understand why you left?
Maybe you can copy&paste what you have stored in this thread? _________________ .....Still waiting for the allusive, missing EXf for Oasys..... |

Wow, that thread was like a memorial and contained some very touching comments and info that reflected on the history of the Korg Forums.
I can't believe that it would just be removed...
In the interim, Hi Daz! Really miss you here!! Please come back and help Sharp and the Ole gang. Hope all is well with you!!!
Best regards,
Rick |

Hi Daz.
Missing you around here big time mate.
I think the only way you will get the answer to this is if you do what you said in our email and check the log for the IP that removed it.
There are only 3 people who can do this.
Regards
Sharp. |

now...
hint, hint.
nudge, nudge.
there are certain people who... you know... can do certain things...
... that are...
... if you get what I mean...
now, I could tell you in clear terms, but then I'd have to kill you.
seriouly, Sharp and Daz: either you sort this out in private because it must remain so [totally legit]
or you make this worth reading by people who don't have a CIA training.
On a serious tone:
There is a thread about the M1 legacy library, with two links full of m1 public domain patches, both in "lagacy software" and "m1 hardware" formats, originally posted by daz.
I have been recommending that thread to everybody looking for m1 sounds. I did it even a few days ago,
but people complain that the link to m1-hardware patches is DEAD.
Now, I probably downloaded and saved it, but it's a big file. I don't know if and how I could upload it.
How can this be corrected?
a) can Daz or Sharp re-generate the link?
b) can I upload the files to somebody who can post them? [proviso I find where I stored it]
c) now that the independence of this forum from Korg has been stated, can't Daz just close the incident with a big "WTF" and come back, instead of sneaking in every 6 months?
I don't really want to know - especially if that's gonna cost me my life . I just ask. |

@ ozy - I'd be happy to host the file(s) on my server and keep a permanent published link to it.
PM me if you want to explore further; make sure you're not followed and wear a red rose in your lapel when you do it so I know it's you... _________________ Plugged in: Fantom 8, Jupiter-X, Jupiter 80, System-8, JD-XA, V-Synth GTv2, FA-06, SE-02, JU-06A, TR-09, VT-4, Go:Livecast, Rubix44, Shure SM7b, Push2, Ableton 11 Suite, Sibelius, KRK Rokit 5, |

Daz,
Not sure why anyone would withhold the info you seek on the removal especially when you gave so much for so long to help this forum.
It seems it wasn't Sharp based on his response. Would it be one of the remaining moderators or someone from Korg?
At any rate, would love to hear more from you on what you're doing on the music scene at this point.

+1
Additionally I would like to know what happened with that thread and I would like to get it back. (I also posted there for Daz.)
Sharp, is the forum hosting already financed by Korg? Is there a relation with the removal?
Thank you, best regards,

No, not yet. It will be very soon though, I've just got to get my ass in gear.
As for what actually happened, well.... I honestly don't know. Daz and I talked about it quite a bit, but it's hard to know. That's kind of why I was hoping the IP would help, but I guess Daz didn't find what he was looking for even though he has full access to every inch of the server.
As was said in emails, and above, there are only 3 people who could have done this.
Chordial, KORG USA, or Me.
Chordial.... no chance. He hasn't even been around in ages.
KORG USA... I did ask and was told no.
Me.... well I certainly didn't intentionally do it, and the changes of me doing it by accident are so freaking remote it's hard to even imagine, but..... I have to say there is still a margin of possibility in it. I have to take that view too because it's the only one that makes any sense. Chordial is not even around, and if it were KORG, I'd sent this forum on fire and walk away as I will let nobody disrespect Daz. So that leaves only me. Did I do it ??? Fecked if I know. Extremely unlikely, but it is possible with all the Spam we had around here and me deleting treads and blocking entire countries IP ranges.
Regards
Sharp. |
