|
|
Hey there,
So I'm wondering if there is anything I can do about the black border that appears on my video footage when I connect my
computer dvi cable to svideo to the kaptivator's s-video input.
It doesn't happen with DVD or or video camera footage connected to s-video input. It doesn't happen when I connect the computer firewire cord to kaptivator dv firewire input.
I mean I can make self contained files of my animation and run it through final cut to kaptivator firewire input, but it would really be a time saver not to have to take this extra step.
Thanks for any help.
ciao

I think if you set your display out from your computer to "over scan" - for connecting TVs and what not - that you will at least get a full, non black boarder, around your output. Now, you will loose some of the video at the edges - but maybe that will be better for you than the black boarders.
If on a PC, right-click in blank area of screen, go into the display properties/advanced, select your "second monitor" (which would be the video out to the Kaptivator) - helps to have it connected before hand - and set the resolution and "over scan" properties.
Hope that helps _________________ http://www.scobot.com
