Hi!

Thanks a lot!
It seems to be a great deal, life time free updates sounds good to me.
I don't know that much about FL Studio, I've never got into it, but at the moment, to be honest, I prefer to spend some more dollars (with $500 dollars you can buy Logic Pro) with something "more famous".
While I'm writing, I'm thinking that's a quite stupid way to think, FL Studio worth a deep check for sure Wink Embarassed

regards

Question: I have had Fl studio for quite some time and have never used it because I get completely overwhelmed and lost when trying to play around. I've already given up on the idea of creating music from scratch there as I use a Triton and am into that type of sequencing. However, I would like to use FL Studio as a mixer of my wave sounds and have had trouble figuring out how to import or load my various wav files I have pre-recorded on my Triton. I already have them on the pc hard drive so that's done. Now I need to get them into FL studio and mix and tweak like I do with audacity. I believe FL will give me more flexibility so I'd like to learn. I know there are tutorials. How to go best to learn this function in FL?

Itīs really easy to get the wav files into the tracks.
There are a few options.

Simplest option is to add a sampler channel and then right click on it and "Load sample". (channels/add one/sampler). You need to know what bpm you sampled your recording in and match the bpm in FL before importing the samples.

I prefer to use the "Slicex" plugin for my sample imports. It automatically splits the sample into short regions so itīs easy to change bpm on a project without pitching. Also for a drumloop sample this is really good because of the ease of changing the beat structure. (Channels/add one/slicex) You add the sample by clicking the large empty area where the sample will show up.

There is also "Direct wave" but itīs more like a rompler where you may add own samples and create multisamples.

EDIT: Also there is Edison. Havenīt dug into that one yet.
Watching an Edison tutorial atm Wink http://youtube.com/watch?v=5y5rAdi-VWI

thanks Pecca, I knew you'd know how to do this, as you've become quite savvy in FL. I can't wait to try this when i get some time, like Friday night maybe. Thanks. I did check out the mixer section and it does seem to have some nice features. It was just getting my stuff in there to tweak that was driving me crazy.

Hey thanks, but i regard myself an intermediate "noob" in FL. Itīs very versatile and iīm scratching the surface still...

Hope you will find the settings you like and get on with the mixing/tweaking of your files.
