I just recently got a new ESX. On the Erase Data function --Shift + 6, Hit Part key to be erased (ie drums 5), then hit 6 -- this doesn't seem to work. I have the Protection Off and the Stop button on. It worked once or twice, but never again. Am I doing something wrong? Is there an update that corrected this that I might need?

A good tip, one that I found out, was that the ESX-1 should be not playing a pattern / stopped before you use the erase function.
