My EMX-1 has developed a rather annoying anomaly. The main dial, when turned slow works OK, but if turned a little faster tends to bounce backwards-- for example, if I'm on pattern A10, and want to get to B5, unless I move the dial extremely slow, it will tend to jump backwards and it is near impossible to get there. The shift key helps, but it didn't do this when it was new, and I have an ESX-1 which I've had longer and it doesn't do this. It's really a pain in the ass.
However, rather than trust a local shop to do the soldering or a shipping company to deliver it safely, since I worked for 5 years fixing oscilloscopes for Tektronix and know my way around complex electronics-- I figure the dial is probably a switch rather than a pot, is noisy or something and simply needs to be replaced. I'd rather do the work myself but need to identify the part number, & having a service manual would help-- any idea how I could get either of these two items? _________________ --

Sync,
PM me if you find schematics for our beloved EMX.
Thanks,
