Next Arranger?

Post by Royce2XPRO »

Hello I just recently got my first Korg keyboard (2XPRO) and I coudnt be more happier joining Korg! :D

My question is, when is the estimated date (or maybe year) when korg will release a next generation arranger in this line? (4X)?

I would also like to know for those of you who have 3X's if there is a difference between 2X and 3X besides space, construction and better sounding instruments?

Do you have a set of dice?

For me, the primary difference (others will all have their own preferences) between the 2x and the 3x was the increase in fills from 2 (plus a break/fill) to 4 (+b/f). This radically improved the 'smoothness' of the transitions between Variations, IMHO. Plus there is an 'Auto-Fill' system like most other arrangers have, now, so simply selecting the Variation automatically selects the best fill to get from one to the next...

Korg still trail a bit in this regard (Roland have six fills in the BK series, Ketron have up to four different break/fills), but it was a very noticeable difference, for me at least. Hopefully, this trend continues.

Lol maybe they will release another arranger in the same amount of time frame as 2x -3x? (maybe 2 more years left?) :)

Yes I could see the value of more fills plus auto fill. Mostly I use my korg for user styles and sets, and its currently met all my needs. :)

somehow the PA3x proces are coming down in ebay - an indirect indication of 'another one is about to come'!
