Every of the 16 parts has a fixed channel (part 1 = channel 1, part 2 = channel 2, etc.). Unfortunately, you can't limit the destination of a part to external MIDI only. You have to disable the internal sound source. This and the lacks of proper MIDI filtering makes the usage of external gear unnecessary complicated.jbl wrote:so do all parts send midi messages? i understand that there is a global channel and we can not send on multiple channels (missed oppurtunity?) but can I specify one part to send midi out?
say part 1-15 all have midi off and only part 16 will send messages, is that possible?
Yes, there is no way to turn off Midi channels, except by using the Part Mute.jbl wrote:so do all parts send midi messages? i understand that there is a global channel and we can not send on multiple channels (missed oppurtunity?) but can I specify one part to send midi out?

I have no idea, it seems irrelevant to me.michi_mak wrote:but what is the global midi channel for?
