Volca Sample System Update
Version 1.3
Description
Fixed a bug with motion edit in step mode.
System Requirements
An audio player or personal computer capable of audio playback
Warning
Do not playback the system update file on any speaker or headphone system as this could lead to damage to equipment and/or hearing loss.
Update Instructions
Unzip the download and refer to the update manual "volca sample firmware update_EN_0130.pdf".

A welcome update, but I think it would be better if when using the function button in step mode that the functions on steps 11-16 were disabled so that it would be easier to enter chromatic pitch values, without for example clearing the part, or turning motion off!

Using the following procedure, creating chromatic sequences is easy - at least for people with bigger hands
- Hold a step button
- Hold FUNCTION
- Turn SPEED
Note: Motion sequence must be enabled before

To clarify I am talking about step
mode not step record. On mine when I hold a step button and press function it activates the secondary function e.g clear part etc
And yes I have motion seq turned on, but only until I want to record a motion part for step 12 then using function for chromatic pitch use turns it off!
It is not user error, but a bit of a clunky implementation

When I follow the "procedure" described I do not have any problems with changing the tone of Steps 11-16 - BUT I do need to have "Step recording" activated otherwise I experience the problems that you describe.

to change the falue in chromatic u dont need to hold stepmode u need to hold func and then turn the speedknob
edit(and motion seq) dont have to be on only then u whant to edit step by step
