I don't want to advertise for an other product but this is interesting for people who are not happy with the sequence functions of the Electribe: http://www.squarp.net/index.html.

Yes as a sequencer this looks interesting, and I wonder what it would be like hooking this up with an electribe2.

Really like the menu display! I wish Korg would expand on their's(instead of it just defaulting uselessly to the pattern name). Maybe include original value and more information.

Ok, it's not cheap but it has the functions that a lot of people want on the Electribe 2 (song mode, nice menu display, midi cc,...). But it isn't a synth or a sampler, just a sequencer (and it isn't battery powered). I really hope the Electribe 2 update where we all are waiting for will make the difference. Otherwise: Electribe 2 out, Pyramid in (and starting saving money in the meanwhile  )

Looks awesome. The website looks a bit confusing, but there's some things that caught my eye.

- By default, a pattern is only 16 steps, but you can extend it up to 64 measures (yay!)

- "Songs" are created by making a chain of 16 patterns to play back to back, but then you also have the option of chaining "songs" together to extend them even longer.

If Korg doesn't add a proper song mode soon, my money might be going toward this.

There's even DIN SYNC for my crusty ol' TR-606 too!

Look pretty cool. Nice to see it has polyrhythmic functionality. Give the Electribe just a bit more functionality and it will push it into greatness.

Agreed - just a few bit more features and the electribe will dominate the market, no question.

I've made my decision... Electribe 2 out, Pyramid in. Maybe I'm going to buy the Electribe 2 Sampler in the future but I want so see more progress of the new Electribe range.

Haha, on another site someone comemented with "John C. Riley" instead.

Finally, Reggie Watts gets added competition.
