PA600 as Expander - Cubase 7.5

Hi Folks,

I'm currently using my PA600 as External Expander with Cubase 7.5.

I can't find out how to change patches on the MIDI channel using the keyboard panel.
In example, my Cubase Track 5 is playing a GUITAR. How can I change the patches in order to hear REALNYLON GTR ST, CRUNCH GTR DNC, STEEL GTR RX,.. and all those beautiful sounds?

Thank you.

See midi chart for correct MSB - LSB - PG ... not setting only PC, otherwise you can select only GM/GS sounds

For starters I'd try loadng the Cubase instrument file for the PA3X which can be found here ... http://www.korgpa.com/support/products/ ... tware.html

The instrument definitions for the PA600 and PA3X are VERY similar.

Hi, thank you for answering.

Actually I can change the patch using UPPER 1, 2, 3 on MIDI CHANNELS 1, 2, 3.
But I can't change, let's say, Patch on channel 11 from Cubase.

maestro1982, can you please explain in details what did you mean? Thank's. :-)

Thank's Thoraldus, I'll try it then!

Hi,
Can you confirm:
1/ You are in Song mode
2/ Your Midi setting on PA600 is 07 - Extern. Seq. or 03 - Player
3/ Your Midi In Filter is not filtering Program Changes.

Have a look in Global/Midi section, you should find what's wrong. :)

A sound canbe set in a combination of 128xMSB , 128XLSB ,128PC
A complete procedure to change sound is set 3 midi message ..
If you don't have a template use it , reading it from manual...
This requires a little advanced midi knwlegment
