Korg PCG Files - Korgs and other Keyboards

Post by Klueless »

Hi All,

I am a complete novice with no muso, keys or synth experience. I am however a theatrical production coordinator working on my first musical!

I need some information regarding PCG Files for Korgs...

I have been supplied with .PCG files - On the instructions given it states that they are for KORG TRINITY ONLY.

Wanted to know if these files will be fine to use on TRITONS or any other Korg Keyboards. Also, could these files be used on other non-korg keyboards (or converted to work on them?)

Any insight would be appreciated - Need more info, let me know!
Thanks All!

It's normally not possible to convert PCG files between different models.

Some are compatible, but Trinity and Triton's are not.

Other brands are also not compatible.

Reason: different sample sets, different engines, parameters and parameter values.
