You should precise what you want to do. As far as I know, i've plugged my guitar into my kronos and no problem at all, everything is correct. I've also recorded some songs with sounds inside the kronos and just tuning the EQs and other things only on the kronos and recorded it Reaper DAW, for comfort instead using the kronos' sequencer =)

Hi solidopsmbk,

The best solution is to connect your guitar to a preamplifier of some kind, then connect the preamplifier to one of the analog inputs on your Kronos X. It will work if you connect the guitar directly to the Kronos X, but it won't sound quite as good.

If you're in SEQ mode, you can then select the input on the appropriate track on the "Audio Track Mixer" tab.

You can also go to the "Audio In/Sampling" tab, and and change the BUS setting for the input you're connected to. Among other things, this will let you route the guitar to any of the internal effects.

Hope this helps,

To further specify, may guitar amps/heads have a "line out" or even DI out that you could use as preamp - don't use the actual amp output (that normally goes to the speaker) though!

you can also plug in a balanced microphone and record the sound of your speakers on your guitar amp.

I don't know what kind of connections you have. If you have an audio out it shouldn't be a problem.

If you have n iRig or something like that, you could use the headphone out to get to the Kronos.
When I record my guitar , I first run it through my Zoom pedal so I can get the exact sound that I want. I don't find the amp models to be as good as I want for dirty sounds. I do however like them for electric bass and clen electric guitar.
If music is the food of love, play on and play loud!
