Excuse a probably naive enquiry. Is the pitch variation defeatable on algorithms 7 and 9?
Is there some LFO at work somewhere in the background?
I'm trying to hear just the basic algorithms as WaveDrummer recommends in 'Editing on the Wavedrum' post

What I can't fathom is why certain algorithms seem to have pitch variation built into them, this is pretty strange to me, when you are concerned to tune your drums to the pitch signature of a composition the last thing you want is pitch variation all over the place. Certainly I cant control the variations by pressure, it's too unpredictable. (Or is my head not set up properly? I've only had this instrument 24 hrs)
Am I missing something here?

S'cuse the monologue of a neophyte, I'm in there now!
For anyone following this lonely thread, the cosmic depths of the algorithms are explored in EDIT 2 where you can get truly gets hands-on and dirty with these sonic beasts, exploring LFO's, Harmonic Shifts, Pitch Mod, blah blah.

When you say try to tune remember this isn't like a drum so you don't tune the head to the pitch you want. I tune the way wavedrummer described. Just saying incase that was a path you were going to follow.
