Korg M-1 / Assigning sounds to specific outputs

Good Day to all! I have a Korg M1 keyboard that I bought new in 1989. I used it in my "One man band" act. I had it set up so that I had the drums coming out of one output, the bass another, same with piano, strings, ect... Everything was fine for the first 8 years. I quit playing for about 14 years and stored the keyboard away. Fast forward to recently and I powered up the Korg only to find the internal battery was dead. I now have reloaded the factory sounds and they all work well! My problem is I can't for the life of me remember how to assign individual instruments to a specific output. I had it set up where I could output just the drums to say output 1 and piano and similar sounds to output 2, strings to output 3, and the leftover sounds to output 4 thus allowing me to control the volume and sound of each instrument individually. I used a Kawai 32 track sequencer to allow me to have a "Band in a can". I am sooooo close to playing out in public again but my memory is drawing a blank on output assignment. I would really appreciate someone explaining this operation in layman terms to me. I downloaded the manual in PDF format, read it several times, but nothing clicked for me. Anybody got the answer to my problem? Thanks!!!

On other Korg boards the output is assigned at the IFX Routing page. I'd expect perhaps it is the same on the M1?

Whether you're working with a Program, Combi, or Sequence will determine exactly what's needed to accomplish the assignment to 1/L, 2/R, 3, and 4 outputs. However, in all cases it's done in the Edit "Effect Parameter" section for each mode.

For Programs, see starting on page 36 of the actual manual - PDF page numbering might not be the same. Pages 62-63 and 107 deal respectively with Combi and Sequencer modes, but they refer back to page 36, etc., for the details.
