iConnectMIDI4plus

Post by Bertotti »

Thee was a thread here about the original and latency but when I try to open it I get an error about not being available because of spam detection?

Anyway I am curious if anyone has tried on of these yet? Any good, does it live up to its description? Thanks!

I don't think is out yet but there is a review of the new iConnect MIDI 2 from sonic state which might have some information.

I saw this earlier in the week and could not figure why Nick and Gaz thought this was such a big deal. I myself could not see a use for it. I must have missed something obviously lol.

I thought it looked interesting at first but after seeing the vid above I am less inclined to like it. Looks way to bothersome to set up.

I also was considering it at one point but went with the Griffin Studio Connect instead. It was more straight forward.

The iConnect apparently needs a PC or Mac as a bridge for audio and I didn't want that as a requirement. The griffin lets you go directly to an audio interface or mixer. And the iConnect midi interface is really nothing special. The Griffin does just fine in that area.

Now if the iConnect had audio outs I would have probably gone with that. I don't understand why they didn't include them.
