Help, Center of drum stuck muted

My friend just got the wave drum and it was working and while adjusting settings in exploration said that now... sound still comes out of the sides but the center of the drum is not working. I believe he did a reset and it still persists.

If anyone has a suggestion of solution please if you could send a response. Thank you

hi tapper ,
with "sides" you mean the rim ?
is this on all sounds ?
very strange ...
warranty ?

That's scary. However, maybe the solution is as simple as this:

On page 29 my Owner's Manual (WD Silver), there is a description of the procedure required to calibrate the Head Sensor and the Pressure Sensor.

I hope for you that your problem is a simple matter of these adjustments.
