maschine

Post by Bertotti »

Ao I see the new maschine studio and the updated software. I would love to have the studio but at the very least this looks like a nice rework of the maschine software. I am disappointed it isn't a free upgrade so now the choice will be upgrade at 99$ or save awhile and buy the maschine studio which will have the newer maschine 2 software included. I wish they would have doubled the number of pads though!

Looking on the new studio maschine I can't find that feature that pays off the cost for getting the new hardware. But two major improvements have been announced for the software and I am happy, that we can work with "vintage" hardware.

NI integrates multi-core support now. Since I use maschine sometimes like a DAW for quick and dirty composing I have driven it over the limits by integrating more synths than loops.

What is also nice to have, beside the other improvements, Midi import/ export will be supported.

I agree, after reading all I can I have no reSon to chase gear but the software does look nicely improved. I can't help but wonder what updates will follow. Any my mk2 is a good sized instrument to shove in my bad while I travel any bigger and I would need a separate case, kind of defeats the purpose and reason I bought it originally.

I have got the "old" maschine (MK1) - without the many-colored buttons - which would have been nice to have - but I am well satisfied with my vintage controller.

I appreciate that NI keeps the software compliant to my old gear and in November I will get the new software for sure. the integration of Komplete is really fun ...

Resently I was nearly to buy the new Ableton Push. Comparing it to maschine showed, that both are too similar. Ableton Push works with Live only and I didn't want another DAW in my setup.
