expression pedals
What expression pedals have people had luck using with the KingKorg? I have Moog and Line 6 pedals from other endeavors, but neither seem to work quite right...

Add a slope resistor to your EV-5 or similar expression pedals. A slope circuit determines how quickly a pedal accelerates to it's higher values, and can be quite helpful in customizing a pedal to feel most natural in it's response to your foot movement. For starters, simply solder a 10k resistor between the red and white wires coming out of the EV's connector cable at the point where they attach to the main 10k volume pot- if you like the new response, go with it. If the pedal responds too quickly, simply increase the resistor size - if you'd prefer it to come on even more quickly, simply reduce the resistor size, although I personally wouldn't go any lower than 5k. I made my pedals switchable between 2 different slope resistances and stock with a single 3-position mini-toggle switch middle position is off/stock - since the EV-5 is plastic, it's super-easy to drill any holes needed
i personally use the EXP-2- im just a bit worried that it won't survive a lot of abuse as i hit the exp pedal alot with my patches...
i have the roland ev-5, but it does not seem to work with the KK at all. only seems to get about half the available range in the "calibrate" mode. maybe i am using it wrong. maybe.
anybody have experience with the korg XVP-10? it seems much more robust than the EXP-2...

Thanks for the response. I can't seem to find my old trusty FC-7 as yet and don't really want to go buy another until I asked someone that has had success with that FC-7 pedal with a KK!SanderXpander wrote:It works in general, I haven't checked if there is a "master volume" to assign in general, but I would assume so (it's been on all my Korg boards).
