Mini-KP Signal Loss

I just bought a mini-KP to put at the end of my signal path and it seems to be cutting my signal.

The set-up is this: I have various inputs going into a mixer, then out to my K-Pro for looping, etc, then out to the speakers - everything's working fine.

Now, instead of going to the speakers I'm routing the line out of the K-Pro into the line in of the Mini-KP and then out to speakers with a resulting drop in volume.

I've tested all the cables - all fine - and I've tried the Mini-KP with both batteries and mains power.

I've even tried the same set-up detailed above, substituting a Kaoss Quad where I want the Mini-KP to go - no problem. If anything, I'm having to adjust the volume downwards.

So any ideas? Is this a known/common problem with the Mini-KP (and is there anything I can do?) or am I missing something obvious?

I don't know if it's "well documented", but I've heard people on this forums saying that there's a -6dB drop in the volume form the Mini-KP's output, so it's a known thing. Hope that helps!

Thanks THT, I had a vague idea I'd read something similar.

Slightly reassuring it's not anything else, but annoying nonetheless.

Given it's a volume drop on the Mini-KP, anyone any ideas how I can combat it beyond just adjusting everything else to fit in with the Mini-KP's output?

You can use the headphone output instead of the rca line outputs.
