I got the dreaded Low Battery warning message. I was just wondering if there was a way for us Non-Teckies to replace the battery without pulling the PC board. I'm guessing not. But I figured I would ask. Thanx!! JP

You've guessed right.

Unless somebody has already installed a socked for the battery, in which case is should be pretty straightforward - but it still takes about 20 screws to remove from the bottom to get to the battery socket.
Hope it helped.

I've had the cover off already just to see if there was perhaps a slip-in battery socket installed and there was not. I did replace the floppy with one from a PC (cobbed it in is a better way of putting it cause it didn't fit exactly, but I got it in and made it work).
I'm bringing it in to Parkway Music tomorrow to have the battery replaced and he says he has a way to do it w/o pulling the circuit board. So that may be interesting. I will try and check it out be4 he puts the cover back on and report to the forum. JP
