microStation chord-assign buttons and user arps

A couple questions for any microStation owners...
It has 4 chord-assign buttons, where you hold down the notes, then press a button to assign that chord, right? But they are not velocity sensitive like on the M3, right?
You can make your own arps. But can you do that right on the board (real time or step), or do you have to use software editor via USB to create an arp?
The sequencer is full featured, right? Meaning it is not like those arranger sequencers where you can't even do basic stuff like insert measure or send channel to external gear (local off).
No rumors of a new microstation coming out, right? I would wait to buy a 3-octave microstation that runs on batteries, but assume no such animal will ever appear.
