Korg M3 Plugin Editor and Cubase

Hi everybody,
I habe been trying to use the M3 Plugin editor in Cubase in order to treat the M3 similar to a VSTi - mainly I hoped to be able to do all my sound selections in the editor, define FX etc. and save everything in the song file. My hope was not needing to save a song file and independently from that also a file in the sequencer of my M3... is this possible?
Anyway, even if, I have the impression the editor is extremely unstable. Cubase crashes frequently. I have a lot of error messages "hardware not found"...anybody has any experience/advice here?
And, as I am not able to load several instances of the editor at the same time how do I address different tracks with different sounds/channels?
Thx
Martin
PS How do you work with your M3 and your DAW? Do you save everything as discussed above in Cubase or independently also on the M3?
