Soundpack 2 demos M.I.A.?
I was working on some custom sound sets and went to Korgs site to hear the demos for Soundpack 2. I've heard them before. Been integrating Soundpack 2 sounds since they were released. but it's a nice reference to see what other sounds I might be interested in. I may be wrong, but they are nowhere to be found!? If they are gone, why on earth would Korg remove them? Maybe someone else can find them and post a link, because I'm not having much luck.

Thanks for the link. Do you mean the demos that come up when you click the speaker icon, third one down on the left? Yes, I saw those demos already. I think those are the original demos though, not the Soundpack 2 demos. The demo page for Soundpack 2 had a brief description of the artist who designed the sounds then a few demo tracks of each sound. I recall Jack Hotop was one, Jordan Rudess and a few others. I can't find that demo page anywhere.

I remember that page and the descriptions now. Shame they removed, that might help me answer my current question about organ sounds closest to classic rock B3. Hrm...
I'll keep watching this thread and looking for the page too!

Sorry i didnt read your original post carefully.. There are some demo's on Youtube of soundpack2 if you search them out, i'm certain i saw some when i was researching whether to buy the SV1. BUT if it's organ sounds your interested in i'll say this.. the jazz organ in SP2 is 'useable' but if your after convincing Hammond sounds then I dont believe they can be obtained from the SV1. Maybe if you turn off the organ speaker and Leslie effect and route them through a real Leslie or a good sim such as the Ventilator they might be passable? Main issues are the lack of drawbar adjustment and no way to split upper/lower manuals, which the latter, for me is a total showstopper for organ. There is an organ split patch on soundpack2 however, which could get you through a gig at an absolute push. Others might like the SV1 organs? just my opinion, but i'm a Hammond tonewheel owner and i hate the organs in the SV1. Fortunately, I LOVE the rhodes and wurli's.
