Q: SD/SDHC confusion

Post by meatballfulton »

Looking over the specs for the mStation, I read conflicting statements:

-- SD cards up to 2 GB are supported, no SDHC cards

-- SD and SDHC cards are supported

What is the correct info? Can cards over 2 GB be used or not?

Based on my experience using older gear with memory cards, you should be able to use a card bigger than what the specs say, but the system won't utilize the extra memory. I recall having a 2GB card with the MC-808 I used to own, but it still only saved and read up to 1 GB on the card. Likewise, I had a larger card in my Roland MS-1, but it capped out on what the system specs said it could handle.
