Hi all,

I ran into a snag today and I was wondering if this has happened to anybody else.

I had a custom Set List saved on my Kronos that I setup for my church service. Last night, I was playing around with some ideas in the sequencer mode and I decided to load the factory demo songs that were in the Kronos since I have not heard them yet. Afterward loading and listening (great material by the way), I shut the unit off.

I cut the unit on at church this morning and went to load my custom Set List and it was no longer there. That was a bit problematic, and even though I was able to quickly load what I needed to get through the service, all of my custom stuff was gone on the Set List.

My question: Is it possible that by loading the songs, I inadvertently erased my Set List? If so, how do I prevent this from happening in the future? If that it not the cause, then I need to look at anything else that I might have done that is not coming to mind right now.

I'm sorry that you lost your Set List. I understand that the KRONOS is a big system, with a lot to learn at once!

Yes, if you loaded a PCG file along with the SEQ file. The PCG file can include Set List data; if so, it would over-write the Set Lists in memory.

First - always save your custom data to a file on disk, in addition to writing it into memory. Back it up to a USB device as well. That way, you can always load it again when necessary.

Second - save and load only the data that you're changing. For instance, if you're using the same set of sounds all the time, you don't need to save or load either PCG or KSC files. If you're editing sounds, but not changing the Multisamples and Samples, then you don't need to save or load KSC files. This will save time when loading and saving, and save space on disk.
