Kronos 61 stiff black keys

Hi everyone

I've had my Kronos 61 for about a month now and am loving it. Have to say it' the best synth I have bought to date. The more I use it the more I am impressed.

It's a huge leap in sonic quality from my Triton Studio.

Which brings me onto a little cause for concern, the keybed. All white keys are great, light and responsive however, the black keys in the lower octaves are a bit stiff and much more difficult to play faster passages than the higher octave or indeed the white keys.

A few of the black keys I can also hear an audible metallic clicking noise from time to time.

Has anyone else noiced this or is this just the way the new 61 keybed is?

Should I contact KORG or the shop I purchased this from to have it checked out?

Thanks

Alan

Hi,
I've been having K61 for couple of months.
I haven't experienced any of this.

Best to check with KORG service.

Regards,
Christian

I would also contact korg support/service.

I have one white key that goes up slower than others, and I let it repair when it suits me best (not for now). But if you cannot play good with it, just let it repair, it will fall under warranty.

Hi guys thanks,
Yes probably best to contact Korg support. Seems to be more of a problem on the 76/88 keys that the 61 keybed but I'll check to see what Korg say.

Thanks

Alan.

Oh that's great!!! I still haven't resolved my 73 keybed issue, now you're talking about 61 k issues?? I was considering going for the 61 to not have any more key problems.

Good luck

Hi

Seems there are less problems with the 61 keybed but there is sure a stiffness to the lower/mid octave keys on my 61, whilst still playable I def struggle with those keys and it's far tougher to play faster pieces.

Funny though that the top octave black keys are fine.

This may just be more of an isolated problem with my keybed.

Check this thread: Is your K61 clicking when you play lower keys?

Maybe will help you
