Hi,i have just sampled a vocal on my esx1,its about 2 seconds long and has 3 words in it,there is a synth in the back ground of the sample, how do i get rid of it?I just want the vocal.
Basically i want to isolate a specific part ot the sample.
Is this possible and does it have something to do with the time slice function?

Cheers,

The ESX can slice a sample into fragments, but cannot separate the tracks, or remove the synth from the sample. There is some software that will do this, but I have no experience with it. I usually try to find acapella vocal samples.

Well I don't think the esx1 could do it It depends on the freq of the synth. If its a dull bass like synth then you may be able to cut the low end on the eq and it will cut it out a lot but if its a high end sounding synth you are screwed.

if it is recorded separately the whole track it is posible

what i mean is. if it is digital recorded using a overlapping of music(such background + vocal + Effects)

i think mp4 file types music.. and a certain program can do the separation.. i just dont know what.

im using BMP to do this separation
