Is there a software for copying user sounds ?

Post by moebrand »

Hi all,
I am trying to copy some user sounds from one set to another, I don't mean merging sets.
Is there any software out there to do so? I tried loading my favorite sounds into the set that I am using the most, I could load a few and then I couldn't load the rest due to " there is not enough pcm memory " issue.
I wish there is another way to do that.
Thanks!
Moebrand

Hi Moe, thats becuse you running out of RAM memory on the synth and no
software will help you, you have to start cleaning up some TRASH Samples
in the synth before you can load new Sounds...and i dont mean the PCGs
that you see in Program Mode but i mean Samples in Record Mode.

Hi Moebrand

Deleting old, never wanted user-samples:

1. Media/save/SSD-S-ALL.Set to HDD or Disk(Named Old1.Set, and tick all boxes, including PCM)
2. Now Media/erase all not wanted Sounds/PCGs in SSD-S/ALL/Sound
3. Media/save/SSD-S-ALL.Set to HDD or Disk(Named Old2.Set, and tick all boxes, including PCM)
4. Now go to sample-mode and delete all Samples from Ram.
5. And now you can Media/Load the Old2.Set
6. Media/save/SSD-S-ALL to Clean1.set

Your key will only load pcms which are linked to a pcg.
So all other (ram) samples will not be loaded.

You cannot delete factory-samples. They are rom-samples.
Best regards from germany

Hi!

I am on the same page, but have a slightly different question, let's say you have got a drumkit which is made of samples ONLY samples, and in a rythm only 3 samples are used of this drum kit, will the " delete all unassigned ... " from Record mode delete ALL the samples that are not used in a rythm or in a sound, but just being there in case you want to use them in the future? What i mean is, will I end up with a drum kit with only 3 samples functioning and the rest will be erased?

No they wont, if they are assigned to the DrumKit, Unisigned means
ONLY to Sounds and DKs but not Styles, that doesnt matter.
