apparently mainstream producers are starting to include some dubstep influences-
it's hinted at throughout the song but there's a full on bass drop at 2:17...

well, fine by me. I'd love to hear some dubstep on the radio.

What is Dubstep? I've never heard of it before.

Dubstep is a genre characterized by half-tempo, arrhythmical drum lines with usually very dissonant melodies. They usually start off fairly relaxed, and all of the various parts begin to fade out- then the bass drop happens. At the bass drop, all instruments kick back in accompanied by a 'dirty' bass- usually a special bass known as a wobble (a bass with some sort of 'wobbling modulation', usually cutoff) with a sub.
