I can't believe that my two OASYS will soon have their first baby! And the KRONOS is even better than its parents!
Thank you KORG, thank you, thank you, thank you!!! KRONOS is the much improved OASYSII version for everyone (aside from the still same archaic sequencer), this is real socialism!
This baby will inevitably become the standard hardware Synth / Stage Piano / Workstation for the coming years in studios and on stages all over the world!
KRONOS: "The Game Has Been Changed"......indeed!!!
Congratulations KORG !

Oh, And by the way...
There is another "slogan" related to Korg, running now over the internet music forums:
"The OASYS users have been cheated (Big time)."

While watching the video it was interesting how they were very careful NOT to say the word Oasys.
Jordan Rudess was explaining why he chose to use a 'Korg Instrument' on stage...
I'm still disappointed.

We should not be sad

Well, of course we have to be a bit dissapointed with all the talk about the updates and open architecure and so on...
But we have all participated in the development of the Kronos. Without OASYS, nothing would have been possible. Korg know that. They don't mention OASYS just because of plain marketing issues and so.
The Kronos is actually compatible with OASYS in several ways, so I think there will be some stuff for OASYS also very soon.
I will certainly order a Kronos -76 to complement my OASYS. I think they will be friends immidiately.

Absolutely.
And pay close atention that the word OASYS is carefully not mentioned in the campaing videos, the product details, the engines description (even when they come from OASYS, its not mentioned), etc.
Even when almost everything in Kronos is heritage of the OASYS... It seems the OASYS does not exist any more from now on.
Curious, uh?

OASYS is still on the official website mentioned as Korg's flagship, all in her glory.

Well - "The game has been changed" could be grasped as a slogan for current Oasys users as well ...
It's super that they developed another great keyboard. It's wise that they listened to users on what should be improved (at least partly). It's cool it costs half as much as before offering more. But it's VERY STRANGE to neglect the roots of a development. I can't see any harm coming from saying the truth which everybody interested can find out anyway ...

Maybe we should ask Sharp to ask directly at NAMM why.
(Update: I asked him.)

Exactly. Dany what the hell are you thanking? To having been cheated from Korg? Come on, stop licking their asses.
