pattern selection in iElectribe vs. iMS20 - my thoughts

Post by Global Goon »

Hi forumites!

Just got the iPad + these two bits of software:

I love the pattern selection in iElectribe (in pattern set mode), one can switch between patterns mid flow - (similar to legato mode for clips in ableton for live users) - leading to interesting results. I was hoping to have a similar ability on the iMS20 - but patterns are triggered from the beginning when the buttons are pressed - leading to a comparatively wooden feel.

also, the buttons to choose different pages on the iMS20 are too small for my fingers! - If I have to switch between pages, I want it to be as close to effortless as possible

The buttons on the iElectribe are perfect!

I know this isn't an official forum, but anyhoo!

Hi there,

I believe that you can play around with patterns in exactly the same way as iElectribe.

Just go into SONG/PTN mode.
Set PLAYBACK to PTN.
Make sure that the PATTERN CHANGE lock is off.

And that's it. You can freestyle between your patterns to your hearts content :D

Cheers,

Krog.
