notes stay sustained at mid-low velocity

Hi guys, I have a weird problem with my Triton. All notes in all patches play as though a sustain pedal is attached, but only when played at low or medium velocity ("finger pressure"???); notes that are played with full velocity for any duration don't experience this problem, in fact the full velocity playing actually cancels out any previously played and sustained notes from lower velocity. I'm pretty sure I've ruled out any pedal issues as bring the culprit.

I remember 'ghost' notes appearing on a sequence I was doing recently.
Only after much box checking and unchecking in Reaper to discover that it
was actually a packet of mints I had sitting on the Keyboard way up on C8.
When I looked at them first - it didn't look like they actually had the keys depressed, so I ignored them.
And also the 'ghost' notes weren't always related to that area of the keyboard. eg, notes in the C2 C3 range were also sticking...
So, I guess, when you have any key depressed for an indefinite period of time, it can effect the Triton's brain.
When I removed the offending mints from the 88 keyboard, the problem disappeared.

That may not be your problem though.
Sorry to say, but your problem sounds like a physical keyboard problem to me. AFAIK.
